Dick Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems Therapy Master Class: Experience IFS Therapy in Action with Complex Trauma and PTSD

  • What this course covers: A master class featuring three full, never-before-released client sessions demonstrating IFS therapy with complex trauma and PTSD, including work with a war veteran, childhood abuse survivor, and chronic sexual abuse survivor.
  • Best suited for: Beginner to advanced clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologists). New practitioners will learn the IFS model foundations; experienced IFS therapists will see Schwartz work live with extremely challenging cases.
  • Format: Video client session demonstrations with full transcripts, commentary interviews with Rich Simon, plus 3 bonus workshops (IFS for anxiety, IFS foundations, and a joint session with Gabor Maté)
  • Accreditations: Available through PESI/Psychotherapy Networker. Not affiliated with the IFS Institute and does not count toward IFS Institute certification.
  • What stands out: One of the very few programs where you can watch the creator of IFS work through full sessions with severely traumatized clients. The inclusion of Gabor Maté adds a trauma and addiction lens that deepens the learning. The session transcripts are a valuable resource for reviewing technique after the course.

I found this course very engaging, and shocking at moments. Some very tough situations with folks in a lot pf pain. It is informative to see Dick working with real cases, and very moving at times. The bonus material is pretty good too. Highly recommended for those interested in IFS.
